Mindfulness for Stress course.
Each week of the course has a theme presented through experiential learning and theory:
Formal practices are introduced and are also practiced at home with the support of CD’s/mp3 recordings. These meditation practices include the body Scan, the breathing anchor meditation, mindful movement and practices to develop kindness and connection to oneself and others.
One Small Thing/mindfulness in everyday life: In addition to the formal practices each week small - ‘micro’ - practices that you can do in the midst of your everyday life are introduced.
The focus on the course is on learning both the theory and practice of Mindfulness so we can use it helpfully in our everyday life to deal with stress, anxiety and other difficulties..
The idea of being part of a group may for some feel rather daunting. We don’t need to disclose our life stories! The focus of any enquiry is very much upon our experience of the practices we try, what we noticed, what helped, what we found difficult.
