Mindfulness is being taught in schools to help with the stress and anxiety that pupils can experience. The 'Mindfulness in schools' project equips young people with tools to empower them to cope with the challenges they may face and can increase feelings of control, calmness and well being.
The 'Mindfulness in Schools' project is taking mindfulness in to schools, both in this country and abroad. Their .b courses are designed to fit in to the normal pattern of a school timetable. The term .b (pronounced dot-be) stands for stop, breathe and be! Research on the .b courses has been positive.
I am trained to teach the .b course developed for the 11-18 age group. It is a ten lesson course presented in a lively visual style with sound, short films and practical exercises.
